“The Woman with Cold Hands” is a photographic book about a sense of misfit and not fully belonging to reality. The images come from my immediate surroundings and everyday life, mixed with a single photograph from my childhood. Together they form a quiet, dreamlike narrative. The book includes a text by Filip Zawada, written in response to the work, introducing the figure of “misfit”: "Misfit lives in a black forest, although there are no black forests — only green ones.Such a place is ideal for misfit, because it is hard to find a place that does not exist.Misfit lives in a black forest that does not exist only so that it cannot compare itself to fitting.Misfit does not like to look at the stars, because then it would have to praise its own uniqueness — and in space everything fits together."
