Somewhere in our basic essence, somewhere deep within us, there exists a hidden order. It is firmly rooted inside us and we subconsciously sense it. Kniha The Zone je inspirována filmem Andreje Tarkovského Stalker. Zvu v ní diváka do tajemného lesa, kde standardní fyzikální zákony neplatí. Ten pak nalézá v Zóně různá mystická místa, totemy a lesní bůžky.Díky skladbě listů kniha pracuje se symetriemi hned dvakrát. Postupně kniha diváka vtahuje hlouběji do Zóny až do jejích totálního centra, kde se ukrývá jakýsi klidný pohádkový svět.
